Virgin taps Lowenberg

Exec will oversee marketing and product management

HOLLYWOOD -- Former Arista/J Records exec Adam Lowenberg has been named senior VP of marketing at Virgin Records.

Lowenberg will oversee marketing and product management for Virgin's pop roster, which includes A Perfect Circle, the Rolling Stones, Lenny Kravitz and Ben Harper.

Based in New York City, Lowenberg will report directly to exec VP Randy Miller.

Doneen Lombardi, who was recently promoted to VP, marketing and product management, will report directly to Lowenberg, as will Michael Pontecorvo, senior director of marketing.

Lowenberg comes to Virgin from Arista/J Records/BMG, where he worked for seven years, rising to the position of marketing VP. He handled product management for artists including Dido, Pink, Sarah McLachlan and Avril Lavigne.
