It's curtains for Houseman

Final show includes juggling, lasers, magic

"Lazer Vaudeville" will be the last show to play at Off Broadway's John Houseman Theater, which will be razed to make way for high-rises after the show closes May 14.

The Houseman opened in December 1987. "Driving Miss Daisy" and "Penn & Teller" are two of the better-known shows to play there. It is located at the outskirts of the theater district, between 9th and 10th avenues on 42nd Street.

"Vaudeville" mixes juggling, lasers, magic and screwball comedy under the direction of Carter Brown. Previews begin Feb. 16, and the show opens March 9.
