Sands sells sci-fi script

Sony's buys into 'Resurrection'

Sony has bought the sci-fi script "Resurrection" by scribe Trevor Sands, which Mosaic Media's Charles Roven and Alex Gartner are producing.

The studio is tight-lipped about the pic, described as an imaginative sci-fi action-adventure set in the distant future.

Shannon Gaulding will oversee for Col, with Gloria Fan overseeing for Mosaic.

Sands wrote "The Six Billion Dollar Man," based on the novel by Martin Caidin, for Dimension. He's working on "The Four Jacks," which he'll also direct, for producer Holly Wiersma ("Wonderland").

Mosaic recently wrapped "The Brothers Grimm," starring Matt Damon, for Dimension, and "Kicking and Screaming," the Will Ferrell soccer comedy for Universal.
