Fox has given the go-ahead to "Amy Coyne," an hourlong drama pilot from former "West Wing" scribe Kevin Falls.

A sort of "Ally McBeal" meets "Jerry Maguire," the Falls hour focuses on a young woman who inherits her father's sports agency business following his sudden death. In order to survive in the testosterone-pumped environment, she must come up with creative ways to run the tenpercentery.

In addition to "West Wing," Falls is best known for his work on "Sports Night" and, more recently, the NBC drama "Lyon's Den."

Fox is expected to greenlight one or two more pilots in the next few days, according to industry insiders.
