Actor Ben Slack died Dec. 13 of heart failure in Baltimore. He was 67.
After graduating from the Catholic University in Washington, D.C., he worked on the New York stage, appearing in Broadway shows including "Legend" and "Trelawny of the Wells."
In features, he appeared in films including "Come See the Paradise," "My Chauffeur" and "The Seduction of Joe Tynan."
He had a recurring role as Mr. Ed Ermin on "The Wonder Years" and appeared in several episodes of "The Practice."
Other TV guest appearances included "Kojak," "St. Elsewhere," "Hill St. Blues" and "NYPD Blue."
He is survived by a son, a stepdaughter and six grandchildren.
