Comcast taps Lillie for 2 posts

Will become highest ranking black exec in company

Comcast Corp., the biggest cable operator in the U.S., has hired Charisse R. Lillie to the dual posts of VP of human resources for Comcast Corp. and senior VP of human resources for Comcast Cable.

With this hiring, a Comcast spokesman said Lillie becomes the highest-ranking black executive in the company. Comcast has 68,000 employees.

Lillie has resigned as a partner and board member in the Philadelphia-based law firm Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, where she was chair of the firm's litigation department and a member of its labor and employment law group. At Comcast, Lillie succeeds Al Peddrick, who will retire.
