Mobius ready to 'Rockit'

Sports laffer will be in the vein of 'DodgeBall'

Mobius Entertainment has acquired the comedy pitch "Rockit," which centers on the competitive world of rock, paper, scissors tournaments. Pitch was brought in by Mobius exec Amanda Blue, who will oversee pic's development.

In the vein of "DodgeBall," pic will expose the burgeoning sport in a narrative style that would follow a small-town toy factory worker on his way to the final tournament.

Other pics on Mobius' slate include the thriller "Fade Out," starring Billy Bob Thornton, Milla Jovovich and Dylan McDermott to be directed by Michael Cristofer and to be produced by Geyer Kosinski; "The Wendell Baker Story," a romantic comedy starring Luke and Owen Wilson; "Dead Fish," starring Gary Oldman, Robert Carlyle, Terence Stamp and Elena Anaya; "Alpha Male," starring Danny Huston, Jennifer Ehle, Trudie Styler and Amelia Warner; and the action-thriller "Chaos," starring Wesley Snipes, Ryan Philippe, Jason Statham and Justine Waddell.
