Ophuls docu to get theatrical, DVD releases
Milestone and the helmer also are talking about creating an addendum to the film, a new section Ophuls once planned but never completed.
Milestone, headed by Dennis Doros and Amy Heller, plans to release "Troubles" theatrically, with a DVD to follow.
10 years late
The film unspooled at the New York Film Festival after Cannes but never received domestic distribution.
Shot primarily in Sarajevo in 1993, 243-minute doc examines Western media's attitudes toward war through interviews with 50 leading journalists, historians and others.
Pic features footage with Christiane Amanpour, Walter Cronkite, philosopher Bernard Henri Levy and former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic.
Heller said current world events make the film timely again.
Milestone previously released Ophuls' "The Sorrow and The Pity." The helmer won an Oscar for his 1988 effort "Hotel Terminus."
