Par finds 'Fit' for Sellers

Studio takes on romantic comedy from Stoller

Paramount Pictures has exercised its purchasing power with "Palms Fitness," buying the romantic comedy pitch from Nicholas Stoller for Dylan Sellers to produce.

Stoller, who wrote "Fun With Dick and Jane" with Judd Apatow for Sony, will also pen "Palms Fitness." Story centers on star-crossed lovers -- a young man from a humble Nebraska background who takes a job as a trainer at a fitness club and becomes involved with a highly educated young woman.

Tale's set in an upper-crust community outside Miami, where Stoller grew up.

Paramount prexys Donald De Line and Tom Jacobson purchased the pitch. Jacobson will oversee the project.

Stoller's also paired with Steve Brill to pen "Step Dude" for Par with Brill directing.
