Publicity trio promoted at Warner pix
Goodwin, Sponsler, Boggess will still report to Miller
Goodwin has been upped to senior VP of publicity, Sponsler to veep of photography and Boggess to VP of theatrical promotional programming. All three continue to report to Debbie Miller, exec VP of domestic marketing for the studio.
Goodwin oversees a team of publicists who open Warner Bros. films domestically. Over the past few years, she has led the publicity campaigns for "Training Day," "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions," "Ocean's 11," "Mystic River" and "Troy." Her current and upcoming pics include "The Polar Express," "Million Dollar Baby," "House of Wax" and "Batman Begins."
Sponsler, a 25-year vet of the studio, supervises the nine-person theatrical photo department. She works with filmmakers on selecting and hiring photographers, overseeing the stills editors in selecting movie art and working closely with creative ad execs to produce photo shoots for ad campaigns.
Boggess produces all the electronic press kits, B-roll segments and studio-produced programming for the studio's movies on domestic TV. She also produces TV programming for cable and network specials.
Goodwin joined WB Pictures in 2000 as a VP of publicity from Fine Line Features where she was senior VP, publicity. Sponsler was director of the photo department and joined the studio as a film booker in 1979. Boggess came to the studio from 20th Century Fox, where she was manager of promotional programming.
