'Scary' duo back at Regency
Scribes find their 'Happy Place'
|
Titled "Happy Place," their pitch is a comedy in the vein of "Bruce Almighty" and "Groundhog Day," about a stressed-out family man who gets stuck in his mental "happy place" only to find it a living hell.
Friedberg and Seltzer had previously sold another untitled romantic comedy to Regency, and are attached to helm it.
Duo also penned the 1996 Leslie Nielsen-toplined farce "Spy Hard."
"Happy Place" is being overseen by Regency production exec Peter Cramer for prexy Sanford Panitch.
