Price reportedly e1 mil

COLOGNE -- TV producer Studio Hamburg has taken over Vivendi Universal's 50% stake in TV facilities company Fernsehzentrum Babelsberg, based at Studio Babelsberg in Potsdam, outside Berlin.

The deal gives Studio Hamburg full ownership of the company, in which it has held a stake since its inception in 1995.

Fernsehzentrum was not a part of Viv U's recent sale of Studio Babelsberg to Carl Woebcken and Christof Fisser.

Fernsehzentrum is used by soaps for pubcaster ARD and commercial web RTL.

The facility will complement Studio Berlin Adlershof, which Studio Hamburg has operated for 10 years.

The purchase price was not disclosed, but Studio Hamburg reportedly paid Viv U e1 million ($1.1 million).
