Siegel walks straight into Bar

Shingle signed a first-look deal last year at Par

Ross Siegel has been promoted to director of development at Paramount-based Guy Walks Into a Bar, the comedy shingle headed by Jon Berg and Todd Komarnicki.

Siegel, who worked at Guy Walks Into a Bar for the past year after breaking into the business in the lit and feature departments at the William Morris Agency, will oversee development and bring in new projects and writers.

"Ross has great taste, and the only man who works harder in show business than him is James Brown," said Berg and Komarnicki.

The shingle signed a first-look deal last year at Par and is developing "Starship Dave," "The Manny," "The User" and a remake of "Wild About Harry" for the studio. It's also set up "Camp Sachem" at Revolution (Siegel brought the project in), along with "Dillinger" at Warner, "The Retreat" at New Line and "Number One Girl" at Intermedia.
