Newcomer Sophie Traub, who appears in U's forthcoming thriller "The Interpreter," has nabbed a lead role in Miramax and L. Driver Prods.' "Daltry Calhoun."

The Quentin Tarantino exec-produced pic, which goes before cameras Saturday in Tennessee, , stars Johnny Knoxville as a father struggling to keep his golfing empire intact when his estranged 14-year-old daughter -- a gifted musician -- is unexpectedly left in his care. Juliette Lewis, Elizabeth Banks, David Koechner and Kick Gurry co-star.

Project marks the feature directorial debut of Katrina Holden Bronson, who also penned the script.
