'Queen' gets back on track

Morton recovers from severe influenza

AUCKLAND -- Kiwi drama "River Queen," which stalled last month after actress Samantha Morton fell ill, resumes filming Oct. 4, producers Silverscreen Films said Thursday.

Pic, helmed by Vincent Ward, had rejigged its sked and suspended filming for two days to accommodate Morton's illness. But the British thesp, who starred in "In America," was hospitalized with severe influenza and secondary bacterial complications, and the shoot was suspended at the beginning of August.

Unit publicist Sue May said co-star Kiefer Sutherland will return for a few days to complete scenes with Morton.
