MGM, Bronson pacting for homevid distrib deal
Lion bites into German market
Bronson, which has offices in Munich, has been a dominant supplier of video titles to the German market. Under its own shingle, Bronson has previously released films video in Germany such as "Undisputed," with Wesley Snipes, and "Blind Horizon," with Val Kilmer.
The first Bronson films set for release through MGM are "Direct Action" and "Skeletonman," starring Dolph Lundgren and Casper Van Diem respectively.
Other films in Bronson's stable that MGM plans to soon unspool on DVD include Kevin Bacon vehicle "Loverboy," Ray Liotta starrer "Control," Elizabeth Hurley-toplined thriller "Method" and Jean-Claude Van Damme actioner "Wake of Death." On deck after theatrical runs are "Edison," with Morgan Freeman and "88 Minutes," starring Al Pacino.
