Vaughn, Wilson are 'Outsourced'

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are attached to star in "Outsourced," a comedy pitch by tyro scribe Timothy Dowling for Columbia Pictures. Mosaic Media Group and Eric Gold are producing.

"Outsourced" is about an American factory that is shut down and moved to Mexico, which prompts two men from the production line to venture south of the border to get their old jobs back.

Columbia's director of development Jonathan Kadin is overseeing the pic for the studio alongside Col co-prexy of production Doug Belgrad. For Mosaic, George Gatins is overseeing development with producer Gold.

Dowling, a graduate of USC's School of Theater, wrote the short film "George Lucas in Love." His romantic comedy spec script "Come Back to Me" was optioned by Propaganda Films (now defunct) and Senator Entertainment.

Vaughn and Wilson just wrapped the romantic comedy "The Wedding Crashers" for New Line.Gold, a founding member of Mosaic, was recently nommed for an Emmy for the PBS series "American Family." He and Jimmy Miller, also a Mosaic founder, have an overall first-look deal at Col.
