Lion names senior veep

Studio snares veteran prod'n exec as new head

MGM has tapped Diane Sabatini as senior veep of physical production.

The veteran production exec has served as a production supervisor on "21 Grams," "The Core," "Gone in 60 Seconds" and "Armageddon," and as a production coordinator on "Batman & Robin," "The Rock" and "Down Periscope."

She most recently served as production supervisor on DreamWorks' "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy."
