Legan, Wilding to write script about ex-cons

Universal Pictures has picked up "Party Boys," a comedy pitch by Mark Jordan Legan and Mark Wilding, for Double Feature Films.

Legan and Wilding will write the script, in which two ex-cons are forced to find employment as children's party performers and discover that the work presents the perfect opportunity to case the homes of the rich and famous.

Stacey Sher and Michael Shamberg will produce the pic. VP of development Kira Goldberg brought the project into the company.

It's the first feature sale for the writing partners, who have been circulating their spec TV pilot "The Cell," a comedy about a terrorist cell in Chicago whose members fall in love with the American dream. Legan's repped by Paradigm, Wilding by ICM.
