Selected by industry peers, the Directors Guild of Canada awards celebrate the best of Canuck film and TV from the previous year.

The most-nommed production is the TV skein "Eleventh Hour," which got four nods; for TV drama, editing and two for TV direction.

"The Barbarian Invasions" is up for three awards, including feature and director for Denys Arcand, alongside "Mambo Italiano," "My Life Without Me," and "Seven Times Lucky," Guy Maddin for "The Saddest Music in the World," which took three noms, Lea Pool's "Blue Butterfly" and Scott Smith for "Falling Angels."

In addition, former DGC prexy Keith Cutler will receive a distinguished service award.
