Zieger makes Maverick move

Exec was brought to co. through prexy Morgan

Michele Zieger has set up her Zieger Prods. shingle at Maverick Films, the production house founded by Madonna and Guy Oseary, where she plans to develop film, television and reality projects.

Zieger was brought to Maverick through prexy Mark Morgan.

One of Zieger's feature projects at Maverick is "Sex, Drugs and Mozart," written by Carl Gottlieb ("Jaws," "The Jerk"). Story concerns four kids from different socioeconomic backgrounds who must learn to work together in a competition to create a classical string quartet.

Maverick principal Oseary and Zieger will produce with Massimo Cristaldi of Italo-based Cristaldi Films. Morgan will exec produce.

Zieger is also working with Cristaldi to remake titles from its 250-film library, which includes classic Italo cinema titles such as "Divorce, Italian Style," "Wifemistress" and "Cinema Paradiso."

Zieger started in development at Lynda Obst Prods. She wrote and associate produced "Skulls II."
