Pic is a comedy about a seventysomething widower whose life becomes more free-spirited and romantic when he retires, unnerving his fortysomething children and delighting his adoring teen grandson.
Pic is being overseen by Louanne Brickhouse and by Josie Rosen, president of production for FP Prods.
"Life" is the second pic set up under Farrell and Paura's deal formed in January 2003.
Last December, Disney paid six figures to acquire the pitch "Rescued!" from scribes Jack Angelo and Sam Brown. That comedy concerns the teenage daughter of South Florida's most feared INS agent, who accidentally rescues a cute illegal immigrant and hides him in the family home.
