WBTV pulls development triple play
Exec Goldstein completes development team

Studio has recruited former ABC exec Heather Kadin as VP of drama development, shifted current programming exec Lisa Lang over to veep of comedy development and upped Rachel Kaplan to vice prexy of drama development.
Moves were announced by Len Goldstein, Warner Bros. TV's exec VP of development, who took over the studio's No. 2 slot this summer. Goldstein has been constructing his team since then, starting with upping Marianne Cracchiolo Mago to head of comedy and renewing Susan Rovner's deal as drama chief.
"This completes what I believe is an outstanding development team," Goldstein said.
Kadin joins from ABC Entertainment, where she served as vice president of drama series until departing last month (Daily Variety, July 9). She spent three years at the Alphabet, overseeing series such as "Alias" and the upcoming J.J. Abrams drama "Lost."
Kadin, whose credits include handling feature development at Shady Acres Entertainment, oversaw development of frosh skeins "Desperate Housewives" and "Life as We Know It."
Kaplan, meanwhile, most recently served as director of drama development, a position she held since joining the studio in August 2002. She's developed shows including new entries "The Mountain," "Dr. Vegas" and "Jack and Bobby" as well as returning hit "The O.C."
Before WBTV, she was a principal in Broker-Bronte Prods., co-exec producing "The Lyricist Lounge Show."
Then there's Lang, who had been VP of current programs since hopping to WBTV last August. Her duties included oversight on skeins such as "Two and a Half Men."
Lang also has worked at Universal TV and Columbia TriStar TV.
