AFTRA fetes 2 b'casters
Veep Edwards, 'Today's' Scott
Edwards, national first veepee of AFTRA, has won broadcasting's Peabody, Edward R. Murrow and Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia U. awards. He joined the staff of National Public Radio in 1974 and has conducted more than 20,000 interviews.
Scott has been a broadcaster for more than 50 years. He wishes happy birthday to centenarians on Tuesday and Thursday mornings on the "Today" show and often appears as weather reporter. In 1985, he received the Private Sector Award for Public Service, presented by President Reagan.
