The star of pics including the Mouse House's 2003 sleeper "Freaky Friday" and this year's Paramount pic "Mean Girls" is in final negotiations for a payday north of $7 million to topline "Lady Luck" at New Regency and 20th Century Fox.
In January, "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days" helmer Donald Petrie inked to helm the comedy. Story concerns the luckiest girl in the world who, through a chance encounter with a perennial loser, finds her good fortune swapped for his incredibly bad luck.
Script was originally penned by Jonathan Bernstein, James Greer and Mark Blackwell ("Max Keeble's Big Move"), then rewritten by I. Marlene King.
"Luck" is being produced through Arnold Rifkin and Bruce Willis' Cheyenne Enterprises. Regency senior VP Kara Francis oversees the project for New Regency's filmed entertainment president Sanford Panitch.
In June, the Endeavor-repped Lohan attached to topline and exec produce "Fashionistas," a Par comedy inspired by the Lynn Messina novel of the same name. That pic has "How to Lose a Guy" producer Christine Peters producing and Stan Zimmerman and James Berg scripting.
