MADRID -- September's 52nd San Sebastian Film Festival will host a workshop aimed at improving Spanish film sales to North America.

Film Bridges has lined up guest speakers Rebeca Conget of New Yorker Films, Marta Sanchez from Women Make Movies and Raymond Murray of TLA Entertainment Group.

Focus on Eastern Europe will explore co-production and sales opportunities between Spain and five countries that recently entered the European Union -- the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Over the last five years, San Sebastian, the largest film festival in the Spanish-speaking world, has drawn more foreign film execs eager to check out Spanish art films hitting the international market.

This year the sales office will put on an early evening Coffee Time, when helmers with movies in one of the festival sections can present projects to international execs.

A Sales Office Sony Room will screen five Spanish movies a day using Sony digital technology.

The festival will run Sept. 17-25.
