Skein will bow Thursday, July 29, at 8 p.m. -- nearly six weeks before the season officially begins. Frog previously announced plans to roll out the Pat Kiernan-hosted quizzer "Studio 7" on July 22 at 9 p.m.
Repeats of "Blue Collar" are slated to air Fridays after "Reba" throughout the summer. Frog also plans to double-pump "Reba" this summer, airing the show Thursdays at 8:30 p.m., between "Blue Collar" and "Studio 7."
In addition to the early start, "Blue Collar TV" has landed helmer Paul Miller. He's signed on to direct all eight episodes of the sketch show, which stars Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy.
Miller, who with Kimber Rickabaugh runs RickMill Prods., won an Emmy in 1999 for directing the CBS telecast of the Tony Awards. Other credits include "Saturday Night Live," the Country Music Awards and a pair of Super Bowl halftime specials.
Helmer has also worked with "Blue Collar" exec producers Adam Small and Fax Bahr on "Mad TV" and "In Living Color."
RickMill served as a producer on Showtime's recent comedy specials headlined by Dave Chappelle and George Lopez.
