NBC sees 'Double' with reality pair

Skeins given cast-contingent backdoor pilot/special orders

NBC is going "Double or Nothing" with LMNO Prods.

Peacock is developing a pair of projects with the Eric Schotz-led reality factory. Both have been given cast-contingent backdoor pilot/special orders.

LMNO has already started casting for "Double or Nothing," designed as a multiepisode reality skein in which one gutsy player sells everything he owns in order to risk his net worth on one spin of a Las Vegas roulette wheel. Skein's based on a format originally developed by Sky One and Die 4 Prods., with Target Entertainment distribbing (Daily Variety, April 23).

Schotz and LMNO's Bill Paolantonio will exec produce "Double or Nothing." Tracy Green serves as co-exec producer.

NBC has also snagged the rights to LMNO's "Extreme Reunions," an hourlong self-contained format that takes a primetime approach to the friends and family reunions common to daytime TV.

"Reunions" is the first project to result from LMNO's partnership with Web site MyFamily.com (Daily Variety, April 5). Site, which boasts more than 1.5 million paid subscribers, will recruit potential participants for the shows.

Last spring, Schotz told Daily Variety that the skein would offer "epic-style reunions" rather than the smaller-scale reunions seen in daytime.

"We'll give large, detailed back stories (of the reunion subjects) and a much slicker, richer presentation," he said.

LMNO is working on a 10-episode order of a domestic diva search skein for CBS. That show is designed to find the next Martha Stewart (Daily Variety, March 26).
