Thesp ends career on a sweet note

Brando finished voicing 'Big Bug' role June 17

Marlon Brando's last project will indeed be one to remember.

Brando just wrapped "Big Bug Man," an animated indie feature skedded for release in spring 2006.

In the superhero-ish pic, about how celebrity and success can corrupt the good-hearted, Brando voices Mrs. Sour, founder and matriarch of the Mrs. Sour Candy Co.; it's a minor role, but, said producer Stuart Black, one Brando had coveted.

"He always said he wanted to play a woman in an animation feature," Black said.

Brando just finished the vocals on June 17, having recorded his part at his L.A. home.

"Big Bug Man" was written by "Simpsons" alum Bob Bendetson and is being produced by Studio-Free Studios.
