John Slattery, of the WB's upcoming series "Jack and Bobby," and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio ("The Abyss") have landed roles alongside Lacey Chabert in the A&E Network telefilm "The Brooke Ellison Story," to be directed by Christopher Reeve.

Based on the book "Miracles Happen: One Mother, One Daughter, One Journey" by Brooke and Jean Ellison, pic is the true story of how a paralyzed girl (Chabert) overcomes barriers and ultimately graduates with honors from Harvard University.

Camille Thomasson penned the script.

Filming begins this month in New Orleans. The two-hour pic is slated to preem on A&E in the fall.
