Reynolds doubles up on pic leads

Thesp also is circling a date with Amy Smart in the New Line romantic comedy "Just Friends."
A summer start is set for "Amityville Horror," about a man who moves his family into a dream house only to discover it is haunted by an evil presence from a past tragedy.
Musicvid and commercials helmer Andrew Douglas is making his feature-helming bow on the redo, based on the 1979 pic.
The film is the latest genre production from Platinum Dunes trio Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, who are producing with Ted Field. Script was written by Scott Kosar, who penned the Platinum Dunes-produced remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."
MGM execs Toby Jaffe and Pete Chiarelli are shepherding the project at the Lion.
In "Just Friends," Reynolds would play a recording exec who is reunited with his best friend and discovers that she is his true love.
Pic will be directed by Roger Kumble and produced by JC Spink and Chris Bender.
Reynolds will next be seen playing a vampire hunter in the New Line sequel "Blade Trinity." He recently wrapped "Waiting," opposite Anna Faris, for Lions Gate.
