The animated pic about shark mobsters, due out Oct. 1, will feature at least two different voices for the fish Katie Current (an underwater TV journalist), depending on release locations.
In the U.S., Katie Current will be voiced by the inspiration for the character, NBC's "Today" show co-host Katie Couric.
But Australian auds will hear the voice of Tracy Grimshaw, host of the Australian morning program "Today."
Pic unspools Down Under on Sept. 30.
It is unclear whether DreamWorks will use other TV journos' voices for other release locations.
Couric and Grimshaw join the voices of Robert De Niro, Will Smith and Angelina Jolie in the movie, which follows the fast-talking fish Oscar (Smith) after he's found at the crime scene of a dead mob boss's son.
Thesps will enter the recording studio this summer.
