Comedy centers on a Texas student with a mind for business who finds herself short on tuition. Her solution is to build an on-campus empire providing alibis for friends. Studio had recently made a life rights deal with Lisa Jennings Petty, who established an infamous alibi service at the U. of Arizona during the 1980s, after she ran up credit card debts and her father cut off financial support.
Blair is the scribe behind the comedy "Major Movie Star," set up at Warner Bros., to which Brittany Murphy attached, and also has "Operation Spy Girl" set up with Zooey Deschanel attached to star at what was formerly Jersey Films.
Richardson is a producer on DreamWorks' "Collateral."
