Daniel Bigel and Michael Mailer are producing, with Neal Moritz and Rob Cowan serving as exec producers.
Scripted by Adam and Seth Gross and Roger Wilson from an idea by Winkler, "Devour" is a psychological horror film about a college student (Ackles) who plays an online game in which players commit dangerous acts.
Ackles' small screen credits include "Dark Angel" and "Dawson's Creek."
Gotham-based Bigel/Mailer recently completed Kevin Bacon-directed "Loverboy." Shingle is plotting summer starts for supernatural thrillers "Killing the Gods" and "The Genesis Code."
