"Jack Gabriel" is a romantic comedy about a charlatan TV psychic who falls for the reporter who's trying to expose him.
Ferrer's previous spec sales include "The 'C' Word" at 20th Century Fox with Arnold Kopelson and "Suckers" at Warner Bros. Pictures with Jerry Weintraub. She has written episodes of "Wasteland" and "Dawson's Creek."
Mark Kaufman will shepherd the project for New Line with Luke Ryan and Matt Moore.
With John Morgan, Sandbox also is developing "Graft," a drama about a group of Los Angeles graffiti artists. Written by Michael Bacall, script is out to directors.
