Warner shingle shifts into overdrive
Plotkin in as creative exec VP; co. inks Silverstein pact

New to the company is Andrew Plotkin, who will serve under Pearlman as exec VP of creative affairs. Plotkin was most recently VP of drama development at Warner Bros. TV, where he also worked closely with Pearlman.
Also, Class V has sealed a blind script deal with scribe-producer Craig Silverstein ("The Dead Zone").
Announcements are the first out of Class V since Pearlman announced his intentions earlier this month to launch the shingle and leave his post as exec VP of creative affairs at Warner Bros. TV (Daily Variety, April 5).
Besides "The Dead Zone," Silverstein's credits include a two-year gig on Sci Fi Channel entry "The Invisible Man." He's also written pilots for UPN and Fox.
"Landing this deal was a real priority," Pearlman said of the Silverstein script, which was set up by William Morris. "Craig is one of the most talented writers Andrew and I have worked with at the studio in the past few years."
As for Plotkin, exec first joined Warner Bros.' drama department in 2000, working his way up to VP in 2002. He's helped develop studio series including "Without a Trace" and "Smallville."
Plotkin previously served as VP of creative affairs at Rysher Entertainment, working on series including "Nash Bridges" and "Oz."
"We've worked closely together for the past six years and have a great relationship," Pearlman said. "Andrew and I see eye-to-eye, have similar taste and the same creative vision."
