The "King of the Hill" co-exec producer will continue with the hit animated laffer but also eventually create, develop and produce new projects for the studio under the large seven-figure deal.
Testa has been on the show for the past three seasons. The scribe's "King of the Hill" episodes include "Aisle 8A" and "Chasing Bobby," both of which were nominated for Annie Awards (which recognize excellence in animated programming).
"She's grown to be an invaluable member of that staff," said 20th Century Fox TV prexy Gary Newman. "We wanted to make sure we would have her services for as long as possible. And in addition, she's got the kind of voice you'd want to take a shot at developing with. We're excited about the prospects down the road."
The Bakersfield native began as a receptionist for producer Craig Baumgarten; she wrote some spec scenes for "Roseanne" and wound up getting hired as a staff writer on the show. Testa, who's repped by UTA, later served as a co-producer on "Caroline in the City."
