Scandis will 'Murder' U.K.

Psychic skein is catalyst for MTV Mastiff's first Brit sale

AMSTERDAM -- Paranormal format "Sensing Murder" has been sold to Flextech-owned U.K. entertainment net Living TV and picked up for option by Granada Entertainment U.S.

Sale is the first in the U.K. for distributor MTV Mastiff Intl., the commercial arm of the Scandinavia-based MTV Mastiff Group.

Format, in which clairvoyants help cops solve murders, has been sold to eight territories and optioned to 11.

Skein sold earlier this year to Network Ten in Australia. Living TV has bought the seven 90 minute films that are in production at Oz's Prime Time Prods. It has also purchased rights to produce a British version.

Format, conceived by Nordisk Film, was among the first of several that tap the interest in paranormal, psychic and occult phenomena currently sweeping Scandinavia.
