MoMA to reopen in fall

Series of theatrical N.Y. preems to launch in new space

The Museum of Modern Art will re-open in Manhattan on Nov. 20 in time for its 75th anni.

Renovation expands the museum's space from 85,000 square feet to 125,000 square feet and includes a 110 foot-tall atrium that provides natural light and city views.

MoMA's film program will return to the museum from its temporary home at the Gramercy Theater, which it vacated last week.

A series of theatrical New York preems yet to be determined will make up the first film program in the new space.

In the interim, MoMA Film will host the 2nd annual Premiere Brazil series June 23-29, showcasing nine new Brazilian features at Film Forum, as well as seminars with Michel Gondry ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind") and Yoko Ono discussing the influence of music on their work Sept. 30 and Oct. 7 respectively.
