Craven, Ratner, Toback among helmers to speak

Adrien Brody will open the 3rd Ivy Film Festival at Brown University on April 9 with a talk about his work.

Festival features screenings of student films from the U.S. and abroad as well as lectures and panel discussions.

Directors Wes Craven, Brett Ratner, Jim Toback and writer Harvey Pekar will also lead discussions during the weekend-long fest in Providence Rhode Island.

Fest was founded by Brown alums David Peck and Justin Slotsky to encourage the creative efforts of undergraduate filmmakers and provide a forum for their work to be showcased.

Screenings will take place from April 8-11, and event will conclude with an awards ceremony.
