Adilman
Former ABC exec Glenn Adilman has landed at Sony Pictures Television.
Adilman has been tapped VP of network development for the studio -- a newly created post that signals SPT is beefing up its commitment to primetime fare after a strategic pullback a few seasons ago.
In his new gig, Adilman will work to develop scripted comedies and dramas for the Big Six webs. He reports to Jamie Erlicht, SPT's senior VP of broadcast development.
"Glenn has a great feel for material, great relationships with writers and a real passion for the creative process," Erlicht said.
Adilman comes to Sony after five years at ABC, where he most recently served as senior VP of current programming. He had previously been VP of comedy series, helping develop skeins such as "According to Jim" while overseeing current production of series such as "Sports Night" and "Dharma & Greg."
Prior to ABC, Adilman worked in series development for CBS Prods., helping launch "Dave's World," "Touched by an Angel" and "Walker, Texas Ranger." He began his career at Leo Burnett USA, based in Chi.
