SYDNEY -- After six years in the post, David Pratt, L.A.-based commissioner of Oz film industry body AusFilm, is not renewing his contract. He will depart in July.

Ausfilm, which reps the federal and state film agencies and around 60 private companies, markets Oz as a film and TV production destination.

"I have enjoyed my time with Ausfilm immensely and have seen Australia develop into a major player in the global film and TV production sector," Pratt said. "Whilst it's been a difficult decision to make, I feel it's time I look for new directions and provide the opportunity for some new blood to take the reins of the L.A. office."

Ausfilm has not yet named a successor.
