In 2003 cinema admissions in Denmark exceeded 12 million for the third year, according to statistics from the Danish Film Institute.
Theaters sold 12.3 million tickets (3.2 million were for local pics). Only "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" and 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" reached more than 500,000 admissions. Per Fly's "Inheritance" topped the list of the six local pics on the top 20 charts with attendance of 374,000.
Domestic fare accounted for 26% of the market, down 1% from 2002.
