Fox awed by occult pic pitch

Studio closely guarding Schlossberg's story

Twentieth Century Fox has paid mid-six figures for scribe Ari Schlossberg's untitled occult pitch.

Details of the storyline are being closely guarded by the studio.

Schlossberg most recently penned the Robert DeNiro starrer "Hide and Seek," which sold as a spec in November 2002.

Produced by the Fox-based Barry Josephson, "Hide" has been lensing in Gotham. Schlossberg was the only writer on "Hide," and Fox brass were sufficiently impressed that he was able to deliver a pic from spec to production to jump into business with him again.

Fox exec Peter Kang brought the untitled occult pitch in to the studio, which acquired it in a preemptive bid.

Schlossberg is currently writing a remake of "Witness to Murder" for MGM Pictures.
