Leonard F. Brown, longtime NBC employee, died Feb. 26 after a long illness. He was 76.
Brown graduated from North Hollywood High School, joined the Navy when he was 17 and served in China.
He worked at the Peacock web for more than 40 years, beginning in radio. His last position was as director of traffic and communications. Brown worked on the first televised feeds of the Republican and Democratic conventions and on the early space shots in Cape Canaveral and Houston.
He also ran the NBC credit union for a number of years.
Brown is survived by two sons and a daughter.
