Aniston logs entry in Col's 'Diary'

Plot focuses on woman whose journal is stolen, used against her

With the "Friends" finish line in sight, Jennifer Aniston is filling up her film slate. Thesp is set to star in "Diary" for Escape Artists at Columbia Pictures.

Story concerns a married woman whose diary is stolen and then used against her. Original script was written by Eric Nicholas, with current revisions by George Hickenlooper ("Mayor of the Sunset Strip").

Escape Artists is producing in conjunction with Summit Entertainment.

Lauren Lloyd is producing with Escape Artists principals Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch and David Alper.

Sony co-prexy of production Matt Tolmach and senior exec VP of production Andrea Giannetti are shepherding the project.

"Friends" star Aniston toplines the Universal laffer "Along Came Polly," currently at $86 million in domestic B.O. This summer she'll begin production on Ted Griffin's Warner Bros. comedy about a woman who believes her family was the inspiration for "The Graduate" and then segue into "Diary."

Aniston is also attached to star in the film "A Soapbox Opera," alongside Luke Wilson, for Mindel/Shaw.
