Douglas Witkins' Picture This! has taken North American theatrical and DVD/video rights to Russian pic "Ya lyublu tebya" (You, I Love), which is being sold at the American Film Market by Media Luna Entertainment.
Directed by Olga Stolpovskaya and Dmitry Troitsky, the Moscow-set contempo comedy of manners turns on young TV newscaster Vera and b.f. Tim, who works in advertising. Their relationship appears to be deepening until, on the day of their first anniversary, Vera comes home to discover Tim in bed with a boy.
Pic world preemed in the Panorama section of the Berlin Film Festival.
The Picture This! deal continues a busy AFM for Media Luna, which has closed multiple territories on gay parenting drama "Cachorro" (Bear Cub), including North America for theatrical/video with TLA Releasing.
In another deal, Media Luna sold "Meisje" (Girl) to Singapore, pacting with Overseas Movies Distribution.
