Pact is the first for Reality Central, which launches later this year with a 24/7 sked of news, talk, and features focusing on the genre. Sked will also include exclusive airings of overseas reality skeins and favorite American series.
"With more than 40 million U.S. households tuning in to multiple reality series each week, Reality Central will be a welcome addition to our customers," said Pam Halling, senior VP of marketing and programming for Insight.
Beyond airing content, Reality Central will offer a live interactive feed to cable modem users so that viewers can direct feedback to the channel. Additionally, a daily news and gossip update will be an option for VOD and PVR users.
Ninth-largest cable operator Insight reaches 1.4 million customers in the Midwest. Team behind Santa Monica-based Reality Central is USA Networks founder Kay Koplovitz, E! creator Larry Namer, and ad entrepreneur Blake Mycoskie.
