Exec bows prod'n financing, sales co. with biz partners

LONDON -- Former Winchester chief exec Gary Smith has re-emerged at the head of Intandem Films.

Smith has launched the production financing and sales company with two former Winchester colleagues, sales exec Andrew Brown and acquisitions and marketing exec Denise Bridgeman.

The first project they're backing is Bille August's "Return to Sender," an Anglo-Danish co-production currently shooting. Capital punishment thriller, written and exec produced by "James Bond" scripters Neil Purvis and Rob Wade, stars Aidan Quinn and Connie Nielsen.

Intandem brokered the financing and is handling international sales for the movie.
