Telepictures inks MTV exec

Deal encompasses p'gramming for network, cable

NEW YORK -- Former MTV exec John Miller has inked a development deal with Telepictures Prods.

A seven-year vet of MTV, Miller was most recently exec VP of original series and animation. While there, he exec produced several of the net's signature series, including "Jackass" and "The Tom Green Show," and he was the exec in charge of skeins such as "The Real World" and "Road Rules."

Deal with Telepictures encompasses programming for network, cable and syndie markets.

"John has been involved in some truly groundbreaking, cutting-edge television, and he has a proven track record of being ahead of the curve with programming that clicks with young audiences," said Hilary Estey McLoughlin, exec VP and general manager of Telepictures. "We look forward to tapping into his expertise and creativity."

Prior to joining MTV, Miller was director of development at Foxlab, where he created and oversaw syndie reality series "Trauma Center."
